Building the Cycle
When playing Starcraft 2 on a budget, the first most important thing is building out the cycle of resource collection, Army production, and Territory expansion.
Resource Collection
The quickest way to gather resources is to build supply depots or refineries as quickly as possible. To build refineries, you will need to construct a Command Center and then click the Build Refinery option in the menu. This will take some clicks, but it's worth it since you'll need to gather resources to build units and expand your territory.
Army Production
The second step is producing units. This can be done by producing buildings such as Barracks, Factories, and Starports. Building these structures will allow you to produce infantry, vehicles, and air units. Once you have a good army, you can use it to attack and conquer opposing forces.
Territory Expansion
The final step is expanding your territory. To do this, you will need to build structures such as bunkers and pylons. Once built, these structures will provide additional defensive bonuses and will allow you to expand your reach throughout the map.
Cheap and Efficient Technology
Once you have the basic cycle down, the next step is to invest in technology. The quickest and cheapest way to do this is to research upgrades to your existing buildings. This can be done by researching upgrades such as Stim Pack, which will increase the rate of fire for infantry, or the Mech upgrades that will allow you to build vehicles faster.

Even though you may be limited on resources, you can still have fun playing Starcraft 2. By focusing on the basics of resource gathering, army production, and territory expansion, you can quickly build an effective strategy that can rival even the most expensive players. With the right strategy, you can have a great time playing Starcraft 2 on a budget.
