Defeating Doomsday: How Superman Saved the Day
Batman and Superman Come TogetherIn the ultimate battle of good and evil, Superman and Batman, DC's two greatest superheroes, came together to defeat Doomsday. This powerful creature, created by the enemy General Zod, had caused major destruction to Metropolis and was on the verge of taking over the world. To be able to overcome both Zod and his creation, Batman and Superman had to team up.Taking the Fight to ZodAt first, Batman and Superman had to battle Zod and his forces in order to protect the citizens of Metropolis. It was during this fight that they realized they needed to take the battle to Zod himself. To do this, Superman flew into Zod’s fortress and confronted Zod, in the process weakening his powers and allowing Batman the opportunity to create a portal to an alternate dimension. Superman was successful in defending Metropolis while Batman created the portal.Retrieving DoomsdayHaving created the portal, Batman traveled through it and was successful in retrieving Doomsday from the alternate dimension. With Doomsday now in their possession, Batman and Superman worked together to devise a plan to bring Doomsday under control. After some intense strategizing, the heroes came up with a plan involving the use of Kryptonite.Using Kryptonite to Defeat DoomsdayIn order to bring Doomsday under control, Superman and Batman used Kryptonite to weaken Doomsday and bind him with chains. Once chained down, Superman used his heat vision to cut Doomsday apart, and with the help of Batman the two were able to separate Doomsday into pieces. With the pieces scattered across the city, Superman and Batman worked together to locate all of them and, using their laser vision, melt them together and complete the containment of Doomsday.No One Left to Save the DayWith the separation of Doomsday defeated and the world now safe from threat, the heroes could have very well gone their own way but instead they chose to stick together and make sure the city was safe for the citizens. With no one else left to save the day, Batman and Superman combined their superhuman powers against Zod and his forces.
