Total Recall was Bracco's breakout role in the movie business. Released ijn 1990, Total Recall took the world by storm and became a cult classic in the years that followed. Bracco portrayed Dr. Meredith Quaid, the wife of the protagonist Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger).
Medicine Man
In 1992, Bracco starred in the epic-drama film, Medicine Man, alongside Sean Connery and fellow Miramax actor Joe Pesci. The film follows Dr Robert Campbell (Connery) on his expedition deep into the Amazon rainforest to locate a rare plant that can potentially save the world. Bracco played his helpless yet determined sidekick, Dr Rae Crane.
The Adventures of Pluto Nash
Bracco had many comedic roles in the 90s, but her portrayal of Roxanne to Eddie Murphey's Pluto Nash in The Adventures of Pluto Nash was an instant classic. The film follows Pluto, a famous space smuggler, as he attempts to save his business from becoming the property of infamous gangsters.
The Next Three Days
Her latest feature film was the 2010 hit, The Next Three Days, directed by Oscar winning director Paul Haggis and starring Russel Crowe. The film follows John Brennan's desperate attempts to break his wife Lara from prison. Bracco portrays Katherine, Lara's compassionate lawyer, who supports her throughout her incarceration. It was a perfect role for Bracco and her performance certainly didn't go unnoticed.
