Pokémon Sun and Moon – What’s New!
The incredible world of Pokémon comes with its latest installment, Pokémon Sun and Moon. Players will be exploring the region of Alola, a world that blends the tropical climates and cultures of Earth’s Polynesian islands.
Island Challenge
The locals of Alola have come up with the “Island Challenge”, a rite of passage for Pokémon trainers to prove their strength and connection to their strongest companions. Trainers must face off against the “Totem Pokémon”, the guardian Pokémon of each island and, if victorious, will be awarded a special reward.
Z-Moves
In addition to the Island Challenge, Pokémon will be able to execute powerful new attacks in battle known as “Z-Moves”. Each Z-Move is unique to the Pokémon and its corresponding type; with an added extra, certain Z-Moves can boost their strength depending on the trainer’s bond with their Pokémon.
Alolan Form Pokémon
Sun and Moon brings with it a new variety of Pokémon; “Alolan” Pokémon take on a new form and typing entirely different from their previous counterparts. Trainers can find these new forms hiding within the Alola region, and can only be found within Sun/Moon.
Take-on RotomDex
The RotomDex is a Pokédex like no other; this Pokémon knows the trainer and contains all kinds of helpful advice. In Sun and Moon, the RotomDex can follow the trainer’s every step, giving helpful tips along the way!
Battle Royal
The Battle Royals of Sun and Moon are unlike anything else seen before. Up to four trainers battle each other in a free-for-all fight; the last Pokémon standing is the winner of the Royal!
Ultra Beasts
Hostile and powerful, the Ultra Beasts of Pokémon Sun and Moon stand out among the rest of the Pokémon. With unpredictable powers, asynchrony to other Pokémon and their origins a mystery, it’ll be up to the player to uncover the secrets hidden in the shadows of Alola.
