Everything You Need to Know About Jon Snow
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones needs no introduction. Hailing from the icy wonder of Winterfell in the far north of Westeros, Jon is the man who was sadly betrayed and killed in the show's fifth season. But like any hero, Jon Came back to life in a miraculous fashion. Now, let's take a closer look at what we know about him:
Jon Snow's Lineage
Throughout Game of Thrones, we have seen Jon's pedigree come into question. Although he is generally believed to be the bastard son of Ned Stark – Eddard's wife, Catelyn, will never look kindly upon him no matter his true identity – a grand revelation during Season 6 revealed something else entirely: Jon is actually the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Westeros. Through his mother's link to the Stark line, Jon is one of the few true heirs to the Iron Throne.
Jon's Characteristics
Despite the tremendous power of his lineage, his personality is more unassuming. Where other Targaryens have been described as proud, noble, and intelligent, Jon is modest and more then a bit naive. He isn't one to back down from a fight, especially if it is for the greater good, and his sense of duty is an admirable trait.
Jon is also incredibly loyal. He was willing to risk his life to save his family on numerous occasions and this is why the Stark clan offers him such unwavering respect despite not being blood related. He also has a bit of a mysterious side, since he has been known to go off on his own in times of need.
Jon's Powers and Abilities
Jon's strength comes from his unparalleled combat skills. He fights with incredible ferocity, and he is as good with a sword as he is with a bow. Furthermore, he is an excellent strategist, able to conjure up plan for military campaigns that most other warriors wouldn't even consider. But perhaps his most powerful asset is his ability to manipulate Wildfire – a volatile and dangerous substance that bloomed in the aftermath of the Battle of the Blackwater.
Jon the King
It has been shown in the show that Jon has a certain affinity towards the Night's Watch and their mission. He has given his life for the cause on several occasions and has risen to be one of their most respected members. But his destiny lies beyond the Wall, as he will soon take his rightful place as the King of Westeros.
So if you're a Game of Thrones fan, you should know Your lord, Jon Snow. He is a great hero, a king in the making, and a man who will undoubtedly shape the fate of Westeros for years to come.
